How Do I Remove a Stuck Ring?Updated 3 days ago
Your finger size naturally changes throughout the day and across seasons based on temperature, hydration, exercise, altitude, and what you've eaten. This is normal — and can sometimes make your ring feel snug or difficult to remove.
Try these steps in order:
- Cold water and soap — Run cold water over your finger and apply a small amount of gentle hand soap or lotion. Slowly twist the ring back and forth while pulling it toward your fingertip.
- Elevate your hand — Hold your hand above your heart for 5–10 minutes until finger swelling reduces, then try step 1 again.
- Wait it out — If you've just finished a workout or eaten a salty meal, give your body 30–60 minutes to regulate before trying again.
If the ring cannot be removed after trying the above, seek medical attention.
Prevent it from happening again
QALO rings — including the QRNT smart ring — fit snugger than standard ring sizing by design, which keeps the sensors in secure contact with your finger for accurate readings. If your ring frequently feels too tight, consider sizing up. See our Ring Sizing Guide for help finding your fit.
